St. Paul’s Place to Stay

St. Paul’s Place to Stay is an outreach ministry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. St. Paul’s Place, Inc., has made available the two apartments on the lower level of its St. Paul’s Place building on Summit Street to be used as temporary housing for both outpatients and families of extended-care patients at local area hospitals. The church acts as host, providing volunteers to greet and otherwise assist the families, with the goal of creating a welcoming, healing atmosphere for family members in addition to providing housing. Each of the apartments is furnished by our parishioners with the ECW coordinating the set up and decorating of the apartments. Over the years, we have served families from as far away as California and Florida, as well as North Carolina and Virginia. Several of these families stayed with us for extended periods of time while their loved one was in the hospital.
