News & Events

Fall Festival was Lots of Fun!

SPP children and their families had a wonderful time on a beautful Sunday afternoon at the Fall Festival.  Children enjoyed the Bounce House, pony rides from Cash Lovell Stables, face painting, and seeing the Fire Truck.  Riley Meehan, shown in this photo, and all the other SPP children also enjoyed a yummy treat of popcorn and cotton candy.

Parents Council would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Nicole Lee and the entire Fall Festival committee for planning such a wondferful event.  We would also like to thank all of the parents who weren't on the committee who helped the day of the event to make sure everything went smoothly.  You all made this a very fun afternoon for the children and their families.  THANK YOU!

Santa Claus is coming!
The Santa Tea is December 5

Mark your calendars to attend this fun start to the holiday season.  Santa will be in the Youth Room from 4-7 PM to listen to Chirstmas wishes from your little ones.  Bring your own camera for memorable photos.  There will be snacks as well.  Watch for more details to come in emails/backpacks.

Music with Mrs. Gupton

All SPP students ages 2 and above have a weekly music lesson with Mrs. Susan Gupton.  The children learn all kinds of songs, including some old favorites and various holiday tunes.  Susan periodically sends updates to parents in backpacks with the words to some of the songs children sing in class so we can sing with them at home!

Susan has been working at SPP since 1985.  Before teaching music,  she was an asst. teacher for the 2's, 3's and Readiness.  Susan has a love of music and has been singing since she was a small child.  She says one of the joys of her life is teaching music at SPP.  She especially enjoys "watching children grow from 2's who are just learning to speak, to 4's and 5's who have learned rythym and movement by mid-year."  She says she loves knowing that she has instilled a love of music in little hearts and minds.

We are so lucky to have such a talented musician teaching our children!  Thank you, Mrs. Gupton!

Toy Donations

We would like to thank the following parents for their generous donations of gently used toys to the preschool:

Clare & Hines Altman

Colby & Sean Murphy

Andrew & Gina Pruette

Baby News

Ray Taft became a big brother on October 7.  Spencer Morton Taft weighed 8 lbs., 2 oz. and was 20 3/4 in. long.  Ray calls Spencer "Uncle Spencer" because his new baby brother and his his uncle share the same name!

Walker Easton Rice was born on October 17.  He weighed 8 lbs. 15 oz. and was 22 in. long.  Big sister Abby had the honor of being the first person to see him in the delivery room, after mom & dad, of course!

Heard in the Halls...

On election day, Readiness student Mya Hurst was very excited to share what she had learned about the presidential election with her mother.  She told her that there were 2 candidates for Presdient - John McCain and A Rock Obama!
