Mississippi Adult Mission Trip 2009
We have a trip planned for January 4 through January 11 to Camp Coast Care in Long Beach, MS. Since the first days after Hurricane Katrina, they have offered help to survivors in many forms. The focus of our week will be working on individual homes doing a variety of jobs including sheetrock installation, carpentry, roofing, plumbing, etc. Volunteer work crews are composed of individuals with all levels of skill. There are also on-campus jobs for volunteers including office work, dining room assistants, and grounds maintenance. We are estimating the total cost to be $475 (includes $25 a day for meals at Camp Coast Care and airfare to and from Long Beach, MS. You should plan to bring your own monies for meals while traveling and for one evening meal away from camp during the week.) All volunteers are required to have an up-to-date tetanus shot.
