Kids Café

St. Paul's sponsors a Kids Cafe' Hispanic Ministry on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. in the Outreach Center to provide dinner and assist with homework for school-age children.

Second Harvest Food Bank funds the dinner meals and the salary of the cook, and St. Paul's pays the salary of the bus driver, the gas bill and provides supplies and the overall needs of the program.  Volunteers are needed to provide help with serving dinner, homework, tutoring, projects, reading, and cleaning up.  Kids Cafe' also needs basic school supplies all year long.

We have 30 students in our Cafe' (kindergarten-high school ages).  In 2006, we had our first high school graduate.  A Kids Cafe' scholarship fund has been established to provide financial assistance for college-bound students.

During the holidays, St. Paul's Episcopal Church provides a Thanksgiving dinner for the children and gift baskets of food and supplies to the families, St. Paul's also sponsors the Christmas party with dinner, music, games, and gift-cards to Wal-Mart for our families.  St. Margaret's Circle has joined Kids Cafe' as a sponsor for our Christmas party.
