The Rev. David B. Hodges, Rector
Before coming to St. Paul's the Reverend David Hodges was the Rector of Holy Comforter in Charlotte since 1999. Prior to that, he served parishes in Austin, Texas and Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He also served as the Dean of the Charlotte Convocation in the Diocese of North Carolina.
David holds a B.S. degree from Samford University, an M.S. degree from the University of Alabama and a M.Div. degree from the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest.
He and his wife Lisa, who is an attorney, have three children, Burton, Mary Catherine and Philip.
David has served as a member of the Diocesan Council and the Mission Strategy Task Force in the Diocese of North Carolina. He is a visiting minister at The Village Chapel of Bald Head Island, a member of the Board of Visitors of Kanuga Conferences and has been a Chaplain at the Kanuga Summer Guest Period.
He was the President-elect of the Charlotte East Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, Past-President of the Board of Directors of Loaves and Fishes, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors of the Charlotte Youth Ballet and the School Leadership Team at Carmel Middle School. David was also a youth sports coach for the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.
