Expectant Families - The Guild of the Christ Child
Almighty God, heavenly Father, you have blessed us with the joy and care of children: Give us
calm strength and patient wisdom as we bring them up, that we may teach them to love
whatever is just and true and good, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
(The Book of Common Prayer, page 829)

The Guild of the Christ Child provides support and care for expectant families (either through birth or adoption) and families of infants. Our ministry recognizes this special, yet difficult time as an opportunity for the St. Paul’s church family to welcome our newest members and encourage their parents through prayer, meals and fellowship.
When You Are Expecting a Child
We share your excitement and joy. As your church family, we know that this is both a time of thanksgiving and exhaustion. Please notify the Rector's & Administrator's Secretary, Mary Noblett, when you are preparing for your child. We will send you a welcome packet with information you may find useful concerning baptism, nursery care at church and St. Paul’s Preschool. After your child arrives, a member of our pastoral staff will visit you and we will publish your good news in our parish newsletter, ParishLife and email newsletter, ParishLight.
Offering Guild Support
There are many ways to support this ministry through cooking, knitting, praying or offering your arms to rock and hold. We also need to know when our members are expecting. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Cary Marcantonio at the email above.
