Christian Formation for Adults

Christian formation is a life-long journey that is both personal and communal. It involves various aspects of our spiritual life, such as liturgy, prayer, pastoral care, outreach, and Christian education. Our Christian formation shapes our hearts and minds as we grow closer to God through Jesus Christ. With God’s help, we hope to help others develop a healthy, vibrant faith as their lives are transformed. In the Episcopal Church we say that the way we pray shapes the way we believe, so we experience a large part of our Christian formation in our liturgy which is centered around the Holy Eucharist. In addition at St Paul’s, we invite adults to participate in Sunday morning classes and groups, weekday opportunities for learning and outreach, seasonal classes, as well as other ministries.

Small Groups are also an important way of creating community at St. Paul's. Several years ago, this parish made a commitment to develop and support small groups dedicated to prayer, discussion and fellowship. The groups meet on Sundays and during the week. Groups choose to follow a curriculum or do a book study.
