The White Elephant Sale is held every year on Shrove Tuesday every year in conjunction with the EYC Pancake Supper at St. Paul's.  This sale began in 1951 by the members of the St. Cecilia Circle to provide funds for Miss Rachel Wolff in her mission to India and Nepal.  In 1994, St. Anne's Circle decided this sale should become an annual Circle project for the group along with the assistance of other ECW members.  Proceeds are presented to the ECW Council, which in turn divides them among the EYC Scholarship Fund and other youth-oriented community projects.

ECW United Thank Offering
Spring and Fall Ingatherings

2010 Spring: TBA

2009 Fall: October 18

For more information contact Sandy Gilbert, 2009 Coordinator at 768-4423 or dsgilbert@covad.net

unitedthankoffereingboxMore than 100 years ago, the women of the Episcopal Church devised a simple way of expressing their gratitude for the blessings of each day - both large and small - that God had given them.  The blue box on your windowsill or table is both a symbol and the container for the United Thank Offering.  As we recognize the presence of our heavenly Father in our lives by dropping coins into the box, we help to address the needs of the world.

The money collected at the Spring and Fall Ingatherings in each parish is counted and forwarded to the Diocesan chairman.  A presentation is then made to the National Church where a select committee considers the many requests that have been made.  Your coins make a difference to those less fortunate!

Held annually since 1946, the St. Paul’s ECW Bazaar is a long standing tradition anticipated both by members of the Church as well as the community.  While one of the main goals of the Bazaar is to raise funds for designated local and national charities, missions, and programs, it is also about encouraging fellowship among the women of the Church.  Morning and evening Bazaar workshops are held during the fall and are a wonderful opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones while preparing crafts for the Bazaar sale.  This year’s Bazaar will be held on Wednesday November 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  A Luncheon is also held during the day of the Bazaar featuring St. Paul’s famous chicken salad and lasagna.  A Children's Bazaar is also held on a different date to allow the youngest members to shop for the upcoming holidays with this year’s event being held on Saturday December 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
